ARTHUR “H” BAILEY, JR.
Arthur Hampton “H” Bailey, Jr. 90, of Rich Creek, VA went home to be with the Lord on July 19, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on October 21, 1927 in Willowton, WV. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nita Blankenship Bailey and Arthur Hampton Bailey, Sr. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Clorene Cecil and his brothers, Donald H. Bailey and Hersell O. Bailey; one great-grandchild, Bailee Marie Stump.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 64 years, Lois Ayers Bailey; his sons, Gary Bailey and wife, Paula of Beckley, WV, Timothy Bailey and Lynne of Bluefield, WV. Also left to cherish his memory include his brother, James G. Bailey and wife, Doris of Christiansburg, VA; sister-in-law, Ruth Bailey of Pearisburg, VA; his grandchildren, Heather Stump and husband, Mike of Naoma, WV, Andy Bailey and wife, Tiffany of Beckley, WV, Sarah Sutphin and husband, Bradley of Narrows, VA and Timothy Patrick Bailey of Narrows, VA; also great-grandchildren, Dustin Richardson and wife, Ashley of Naoma, WV, Hunter and Aiden Stump, Fisher and Madilyn Bailey, Cooper, Collin and Carter Sutphin; three great-great-grandchildren, Kadence, Kinsley and Kyndall and a host of nieces and nephews.
He served a tour in the United States Army and was a career Railroader of 42 years.
Services to celebrate the life of Arthur “H” Bailey, Jr. will be held 2:00PM Sunday, July 22, 2018 at Roselawn Funeral Home with Pastor Shahn Wilburn officiating. Following the services “H” will be laid to rest at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Princeton. Those honored to be pallbearers will be his grandsons, Patrick and Andy Bailey; great-grandsons, Dustin Richardson and Hunter Stump; and nephews, Jerry and Danny Bailey.
Friends may gather with the family from 1:00PM until time of the service Sunday at the funeral home.
