Tim was many things including our son, brother, uncle, and friend. He went by many names (some we won’t put here), including Timothy, Tim, Timmy, Oompa Loompa, Golden Boy, timNnA, and Timber.
Tim was born on May 3, 1983 in Prince George BC. He was the third son of Lucille Lepage and Blair Sprague. Blair passed away in a logging accident when Tim was just 13 months old. Some time later the 3 Sprague boys were fortunate enough to have Bob Lepage join their lives; no small feat considering some of the shenanigans this trio would get up to over the years.
Family was always very important to Tim. Though he was very young when his father, Blair, passed away, Tim memorialized his father with some very special tattoos. He had several more, including the infamous gecko.
When we think of the things Tim loved, Crocs are top of the list (as those that drove by his garden would know). These past few years he found some new hobbies in gold panning and gardening. Fishing for salmon out at Babine Lake, fishing on the ocean, watching the Pittsburg Penguins and the NFL Falcons were all things he enjoyed. We also can’t forget his beloved dogs, Hunter and Blue, who were always with him.
Hockey was a big part of Tim’s life. He started early in PGMHA, progressing through to Midget AAA, the Prince George Spruce Kings, Creston Valley Thunder and Beaver Valley Nighthawks. He played a few years in the PG Rec Hockey league, quickly becoming a referee favourite. Tim’s 2nd home was the penalty box.
Tim worked many years at TDB Forestry. He loved being outside and running machinery. These last few years he had continued that work as well as driving truck for SBH, GYA, and most recently Elite Transport.
Tim married Natalie Anthony in a small ceremony on December 7, 2019. He was happy to join the lives of step-sons Evan and Eric, and step-daughter Elizabeth (Liz). Tim and Natalie separated in early 2022.
Tim is survived by his parents Lucille and Bob Lepage, Grammie Keith, brothers Trevor (Jessie) Sprague, Trent (Shawna) Sprague, Tyler (Laura) Lepage, step-brother Mike (Sheri) Lepage, step-sister Joelle (Chris) Leroux and numerous aunts and uncles. He loved and was so proud of all his nieces and nephews: Julianne, Katherine, Tiffani, Blair, Tre-Lynn, Easton, Hanna and Kristen.
Those that knew Tim would describe him as the life of the party, a practical joker who preferred not to be too serious. His big hearty laugh - or that signature hehehe chuckle - could be picked out anywhere. Always the jokester, plotting to cause some kind of mayhem we could all laugh about later.
Tim would have wanted us to share some laughs and memories of the past, and not to dwell on his much too short life. Thank you to all of you that have reached out to the family, we have all appreciated it during this difficult time. A celebration of Tim’s life will be held on September 23, 2023 at the Hart Pioneer Centre. Sadly we know Tim would sure be upset that he’s missing this party.
