Marilyn Peskett (nee Maloney)
Marilyn passed away peacefully at the age of 91 in Prince George, BC.
Born in Selkirk, Manitoba, to Nan and Edward Maloney, she is predeceased by her beloved husband Jack, and brothers Jack and Elmer. She is survived by her younger brother Gerry, three children; Jackie, Jim, and Gord, eight grandchildren, and eight great- grandchildren.
Marilyn moved with her family from Selkirk to Vancouver in 1940. She met Jack in Vancouver and they were married in 1942. After being transferred to Victoria, BC for military service, and Jack’s subsequent deployment overseas, they resettled in Vancouver after the war to start and raise their family. Marilyn was always a loving and devoted wife, an extremely caring mother, and a fabulous homemaker. She also worked at various jobs outside the home before retiring in 1975.
Marilyn loved family and friends, was fond of music, and enjoyed pastimes such as reading, sewing and knitting.
A memorial service will be conducted at the Prince George Chateau on Sunday 8 November 2015 2:00-4:00 pm. A Celebration of Life service is planned for Vancouver at a later date.
