Predeceased by parents Adrien and Arlie and sister Shirley Robinson.
Marcel was born in St Paul, Alberta and moved to Prince George, BC for work where he lived most of his life working hard at the sawmill and providing for his family.
He very much enjoyed riding his Harley, dancing at Vivas, listening to good music, going out for meals on the weekends and enjoyed chatting with everyone he crossed paths with--neighbours in the complex, strangers at the mall, waitresses at all his favourite restaurants, old and new friends. He was very sharp and witty in conversations and could speak on any topic. In his retirement, he enjoyed hanging out in the sunshine in the backyard, tending to the gardens, taking care of the lawn and enjoying the peace out at the lake. He also took up the love of cooking and often found recipes on “safari” to try out and show off. He was loyal to his favourite meatshop, Homesteaders, and he also loved Ukrainian food and found people to make his favourite dishes. He enjoyed visits with his grandchildren, in person, FaceTime and on the phone--listening to all their life stories and was so very proud of all of their achievements.
Marcel was a kind and generous man. Resilient, calm, uncomplicated, sometimes stubborn but always fair. He always gave a listening ear, an offer of advice, added a joke to lighten up a situation, or an offer of just sitting peacefully beside one another. He was always there for everyone he loved.
Marcel will be dearly missed by all who knew him, and forever in our hearts.
Ride on till we meet again.
