June attended Fort St James Senior Secondary School before going to The College of New Caledonia and settling in Prince George.
June is survived and lovingly remembered by her sons, James, Richard (Desirae), Gerry (Leanne) and Sam (Kayla); daughter Kyra; co-parent and dear friend Darcy; step children, Mike and Chantelle; honorary daughters, Crystal and Jenn; and grandchildren, Arwen, Austen, Cohen, Brooklyn, Cyrus, Haidyn, Max, Ariana, James Jr. and Morgan. Also left to mourn her loss and cherish June’s memory are her Mother Jeanne; sisters, Connie, Linda, Lori, Donna, Cathy and Barb and many, many nieces and nephews.
June’s greatest joy was her family. She enjoyed preparing delicious meals so everyone would gather. She especially loved preparing specially requested birthday dinners. She was a loving mother to her children and her large and extended family. June was a doting and devoted grandmother. Nothing brought her more pleasure than telling you about her beloved children and grandchildren. June also loved to travel and Mexico was a destination of choice.
June will be remembered as a wonderful mother and loving grandmother with a spark and zest for life. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic restrictions, there will not be a service at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In memory of June, and in lieu of flowers, donations to the AiMHi or The Child Development Centre of Prince George & District would be greatly appreciated.
