He was born August 25, 1938 and passed away July 14, 2023 at the age of 84, after battling pulmonary fibrosis for seven years.
The second youngest in a family of 12 children, Fred was raised by parents George and Maria Brown on a farm near Nipawin Saskatchewan. He later moved to Prince George BC, where he raised his family.
He met and fell in love with his loving wife Marcia (Huston). They were married for 58 years and together they raised three daughters, Ruth (Steve), Carmen, and Bonnie (Jason). He had five grandchildren Steven, Alisha (Brett), Tyson (Cassi), Devon, and Melissa. Papa had three great grandchildren Graysen, Henrek, and Harley. He is survived by his two brothers, Peter (Ursula) and John (Tina), and several nieces and nephews.
Known for his great sense of humour and infectious smile he was the life of the party, a great dancer and was referred to as the favourite uncle by many. Fred was always a hard worker and was proud to say he worked until he was 80 years old.
A loving and supportive family man, he put his family first and was always there for each one of us. We love you with all our heart and that is where we will hold you close and cherish you forever.
His memorial service will be held on July 28th @ 1:00 at the Bon Voyage Banquet Room, 4366 Hwy 16 West, Prince George, BC
