Ruby P. Kilpatrick

She was the youngest of 11 children and was the last surviving member of her family.

Ruby spent her life caring for others whether they were family or her many patients during her career as an RN at Prattville Hospital. She graduated from Grantham High School as valedictorian where she played basketball and later from Rex Hospital School of Nursing in Raleigh, NC.

She and James first met and were later married while he was stationed at Pope A.F.B. in Fayetteville, NC. Upon his discharge, moved to Prattville where they made their home.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, James Kilpatrick; daughters Debbie(Allen) Mills, Linda(Richard) Harrison and son Jim(Courtney) Kilpatrick; 8 grandchildren & 9 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews.

Visitation will begin at 1pm Sunday Feb 5th at First Baptist Church followed by a celebration of life at 2pm.
