Mildred Grace Jackson, 91, of Montgomery, Al went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, 1 June 2022. She was born Mildred Grace McGuire on 13 December 1930 in Holyoke, Massachusetts and was one of four children. Grace attended grammar school and graduated from Chicopee High School. Upon graduation, Grace lived and worked in Kindley AFB, Bermuda; Prattville, AL; Cary, Illinois; and retired in Montgomery, AL. Notable work included Non-Commissioned Officers Wives Club Vice President, Army Air Force Exchange Service Supervisory duty, and senior analyst and factory scheduler for Tru-Test Mfg Co.
Her many hobbies included bowling(National 600 Club Member and Masters 225 Club), sewing, church choir, Little Theater, ceramics, interior decorating, reading and swimming.
She was preceded in death by her parents Charles McGuire and Mildred McGuire Murray and siblings Mae McGuire Giffin and Charles McGuire. Surviving brothers include Stewart (Diane) McGuire and Ray Murray in California. She is also survived by three sons and one daughter, James (Donna) Jackson Jr, Arlene J. (Larry) Pickett, Mark A. (Nancy) Jackson all from Prattville, Al and Micheal S. (Cathy) Jackson from Montgomery, Al. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Services will be on Saturday, 18 June at St. Bede the Venerable Catholic Church in Montgomery, Al with Vigil in Parish Hall at 10:00 followed by Mass at 11:00. A private ceremony follows at St. Margaret's Cemetery immediately following mass.
