Kathryn Louise Whaley

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 11:00 AM with the visitation from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at St. Mark's Episcopal Church with Fr. Scott Arnold and Fr. Will McQueen officiating. Graveside services will follow at Old Live Oak Cemetery in Selma, Alabama.

Kathryn was born in Selma and graduated from Parrish High School in 1966. She attended Huntingdon College and graduated with honors from Auburn University in Montgomery. She worked for the State of Alabama Revenue Division and retired from the Montgomery Alabama Veterans Administration as a Veteran's Claims Adjudicator.

Kathryn is survived by her loving husband, Paul Whaley II, her mother-in-law, Helen Whaley Latta! of Montgomery, Alabama, her son, Paul Cameron Whaley (Emily) of Rome, Georgia, her granddaughter, Naomi Helen Whaley of Rome, Georgia, Eli Ridgeway of Rome, Georgia, her godson, Otto Haslbauer (parents, Frank and Jennifer Haslbauer) of Prattville, Alabama, her sister, Margaret Yow Grimes (Brad) of Cincinnati, Ohio, her nephew David Grimes of Cincinnati, Ohio, and a host of loving friends.

Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents, Elvin and Margaret "Lucille" Yow.

A devoted and loving wife, Kathryn pursued character, excellence and integrity in all she said or undertook. While we grieve deeply, we are comforted in knowing she is whole and healed now and in the arms of her savior.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Autauga County Humane Society (especially the kitties) or the organization of your choosing.
