Johnny Rex Moore

Johnny Rex Moore, of Prattville, Alabama and formally of Columbus, Georgia, passed away on July 20, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, John William Moore and Lonie Moore Gilbert and his sisters, Martha Brazeale and Doris Bratcher. He is survived by his wife, Janis Moore, and his daughter, Tracy Camara (Tony); grandchildren, Michael Camara (Saige) and Justin Camara (Kelsey); great grandchildren, Quinn Camara and Collins Camara; and brother Kenneth Moore (Barbara).

Mr. Moore served in the US Air Force, was a police officer, and general manager at both Goodyear and Bridgestone Firestone. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and his friends. He would spend every Wednesday and Sunday playing golf with his golfing buddies and when able he would travel with friends and family on mini vacations. He enjoyed teaching his grandchildren and others how to play sports, hunt, fish, and golf. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

A visitation for Johnny will be held Friday, July 26, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Ridout's-Brown-Service Prattville Chapel, 347 E Main St, Prattville, Alabama 36067, followed by a celebration of life at 2:00 PM.
