Jim “Pops” Looney, 72, a resident of Deatsville, AL, passed away on Monday, November 2, 2020. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2020 from 2:00PM – 4:00PM at Ridout’s Prattville Chapel. A Celebration of Life Memorial service will begin at 4:00PM with Pastor Ron Siles officiating. Pops loved racing and was a huge Nascar and Alabama fan. When he was not racing cars, he was watching his favorite racers, Dale Earnhardt, Sr., Richard Petty and Davey Allison, to name a few. He was preceded in death by his parents, Monroe Looney and Frieda Davenport; and son, Jason Looney. Pops is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Dorris Looney; sons, Trey Looney (Karen), Billy Looney (Kristy); grandsons, Ryan and Alex Looney, Kaden Goodson, Andrew Harris; granddaughters, Kelsee and Harley Looney; 6 step brothers; 1 sister; and brothers by choice, Tommy Womble, Mike Webb, Mike Rogers, and Bubba Stubbs; and sisters by choice, Betty Stubbs and Margie Womble.
