To know him is to love him! As a child, he was the beautiful boy with the mischievous smile who knew how to get most of what he wanted from his mom and dad. As a young man, he met a beautiful girl, made a few mistakes as young men do, and turned those mistakes into a beautiful family. As he grew older, he was always there in a heartbeat for his family and friends, loved decorating his home for the holidays, and could always be found doing some handyman chore or whatever needed to be done at the church. He is a beautiful light for this world who now shines in the next world, making a place for all those he left behind. Because that’s who he was – always doing for others.
On March 3, 2023, Charles Robert Harbaugh left his earthly body behind for his beautiful angel wings. He was met by his father, Elmer Aaron Harbaugh, his mother, Mary Cordelia Rabby Harbaugh, and his brother, David Temple Harbaugh. He will be missed by his wife, Pamela Maxine Jackson Harbaugh, and his two daughters, Joni Harbaugh and Melyssa MacLean (Russ MacLean). He also leaves behind five granddaughters: Alexandra, Ashley, and Arinn Templin, and Araura and Phoenix MacLean. He is also mourned by his older brother Butch, his sisters Sharon, Judy, and Elaine, his brother-in-law Earl, sisters-in-law Winnie and Brenda, and countless nieces, nephews, and friends.
Services for Charlie will be held at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Prattville on Saturday, March 11th, at 2pm. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Mark’s, to the American Cancer Society, or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.ridoutsprattvillechapel.com for the Harbaugh family.
