I know all of you miss sweet Barbara so much. I hope your many wonderful
memories of her bring far more smiles than tears as you remember and miss her, especially this holiday season. Everyone who knew her loved her. The same was true of James. 

To the family, I am so sorry for the grief and sorrow you all are going through. Barbara was an amazingly hard working woman who always had customer service as her goal. Whether it was at the bank or at the sheriffs’ office, she did her best to  help her customers. She was a friend to a lot of people and I am glad to have been one of them. Melissa, Susan and family :  I was saddened to hear about Mrs. Barbara’s passing. I always enjoyed talking with her when I would go to the Sheriff’s Dept. I missed her very much when she retired. She loved German chocolate cake!  I would make them for her and  sometimes a lemon chess cake.  I loved her dearly.  She was a wonderful and kind person. 

Only had short conversations with Ms. Barbara when conducting business. But always enjoyed talking with her about the old Prattville. 


I was saddened to hear of the passing of Barbara. She was a blessing to me. Praying  for you all.

So sorry to hear Barbara had passed-just talked to her a couple of weeks ago at the Sheriff’s office. She was always so nice and helpful-always asking about my wife and always showing her kindness in offering her help in any way. I feel a huge void in losing a friend-shocking to get this news. Rest In Peace...to the family-carry her memories always, a way to share with everyone forever her life and her love she so shared on a daily basis to us all. Prayers!

Barbara was a one of a kind. She was such a precious friend. Loved her family and friends unconditionally. I knew her for many years and she was always the same sweet friendly person always. You will be missed Barbara love you always

Barbara was a very sweet and loving lady who always seemed to wear a beautiful smile.  She would make you feel comfortable while conducting business in a very professional way.   Heartfelt prayers to you all as you go through these sad times.

Miss Barbara Ann was sweet lady, who was a fabulous cook.  Her candied yams (sweet potatoes) were mouth watering.  She will be deeply missed. 

Barbara was a great, loving lady and she will be missed greatly. My prayers are with the family.

Lloyd and I were saddened to hear of Barbara’s passing. She was always such a ray of sunshine and always smiling -full of life & joy. She was such a tremendous help when she worked at Bank of Prattville and at the Sheriff’s office. Her friendship meant so much to so many. Prayers for her family-for comfort and peace. I am so sorry to learn of Barbara’s death. She was always such a sweet person to me. The Rhodes and Surles have been so commingled all our lives that I feel like we are family. I love you all and am praying for you all during this difficult time.
