Audrey Lou Carlisle

Audrey Smith Carlisle, age 93, passed away peacefully at home on April 10, 2023. Mrs. Carlisle was born on Dec. 13, 1929 in Crenshaw County, Alabama to William Robert & Bertha Etheridge Smith. She was a long time resident of Prattville, AL. and worked for Continental Eagle and Home Place Farms. She was an active member of Prattville First Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Carlisle is survived by daughter, Debra Wright Middleton (Paul), granddaughter, Jennifer Middleton (Wallace Barefoot), grandson, James Middleton, 2 sisters, Abbie Langston and Glenda Bowers, 2 sister-in-law’s, June Smith and Sandra Smith and a host of nieces & nephews. She also leaves behind daughter-in-law, Terrica Carlisle, grandson, David Carlisle and granddaughter, Mary (John) Wiley and her most special friend, Rose Sillman.

The family would like to thank Southeast Hospice – Shanna Davis, Karmaria Smith-Norman, Gayla Peoples, Unice Catlin, Mark Grizzard and Dr. Mendez. And a very special thank you to our caregivers – Davin Ussery, Linda King, Adell Searight, Debra Sankey and Brenda Wilson.

A memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church in Prattville, AL on Friday, April 21, 2023 at 1:00 PM. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
