Timothy J Jones

He is survived by his wife of 7 years Leslie, sons Timothy Jones Jr. and Andrew (Madonna Orologio) Jones of Norwood, a daughter Stacy Lynn (Anthony) Murray of Massena, and a step daughter Amanda (Mike) Marnik of Vergennes, VT, 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren with one on the way.

Timothy was born on January 21, 1950 in Potsdam, NY, a son of the late George and Vivian (Dumas) Jones. He graduated from Potsdam Central Schools and attended Paul Smith’s College. He worked at a farm in Potsdam for some time before working at J.E. Sheehan Contracting Corp. for 30 years until his retirement as Superintendent in 2003.

Mr. Jones was a past member of the Elk’s #2074, and the Potsdam Volunteer Fire Department, where he received Fireman of the Year in 1974. He spend his time socializing with friends, hunting in his younger years, building projects (especially decks and porches), and spending time with his wife Leslie. He had a big heart and sense of humor.
