Ronald M. Gilbert, age 26 of Parishville, passed away tragically in an automobile accident on Friday November 17, 2017. Ronald was born August 30, 1991 to Hope (Jerome) and Isaac Gilbert in Potsdam. He graduated from Potsdam Central School in 2010. Ronald then went to work for St. Lawrence University in the buildings and grounds department.
Ronald is survived by his loving parents Hope and Isaac, a brother; Andrew Gilbert and Jennifer Dillion of Florida, sister; Tonya Gilbert and Brian Snyder of Parishville, special nieces Elena and Emelia, paternal grandmother Dorothy Fisher and Gary Wright, maternal grandmother Pauline and Richard Chase, step paternal grandmother Cindy Gilbert along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Ronald could be seen traveling through the area on his motorcycle heading to one of his favorite spots, being the family wood lot. There he would meet up with two very special friends Shawn and John. They would then take on Ron’s favorite activity, target practicing with clay pigeons. If Ron was not there he could be found with his dad hunting or fishing. He also liked to challenge his older brother to a game on the PS4. One thing that Ron always had time for was a game of “Peek-A-Boo” with his beautiful nieces that he cherished.
Calling hours for Ronald will be held Wednesday, November 22, 2017 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Garner Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. Burial will take place at Bayside Cemetery, Potsdam immediately after the service.
