Rod was born on September 24th 1948 to his parents: Frances and Winfred. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary Jo, his siblings; Ruby Minozzi (Edward), Rose Straszynsky (Vince), Robert (Wendy) and Richard (Cindy). He has one son, Jonathan and two very special grandchildren: Carys and Rhys.
Rod is a graduate of SUNY Canton and owned and operated the Aeon Heating and Air Conditioning with his son, Jonathan. He loved the business and working with the people of Northern NY where he had developed many valued friendships. Jonathan will continue to own and operate the business.
Rod was a horse lover since his childhood. He owned horses most of his life and competed in show jumping for many years. He started his cherished granddaughter riding when she was two and supported her riding, jumping and driving for the next 12 years. She is continuing in his footsteps.
He was also an avid snow skier and loved taking to the slopes with his grandson Rhys.
There will be no funeral but there will be an opportunity to share condolences and memories with the family at the Garner Funeral Home, Monday July 16th from 4:00P to 7:00PM.
