Mrs. Patricia A. James

Friends and family may call at the Garner Funeral Home on Sunday, July 21 from 2-4 PM and from 7-9 PM. The funeral will be Monday, July 22, 2013 at 10:30 AM at the Colton United Methodist Church with Rev. Patricia Lennox, officiating. Patricia’s final resting place will be in the Crary Mills Cemetery.

Patricia is survived by her devoted husband of 64 years, Donald R. James; six children, Linda Garrison of Ogdensburg; Richard James and Lisa Embury of Hannawa Falls; Ronald and Brenda James of Houston, TX; Susan James and Nestor Valle of Hartford, CT; Roger James of Plattsburg; Jeffery and Jane James of Parishville; and her 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Also surviving Pat are siblings, Beverly Yandoh of Brasher Falls, Nancy Martin of St. Regis Falls, Brenda Collins of Norwood and Wayne Green of Norwood.

Pat was the oldest of six children and is predeceased by her brother Albert Green.

Patricia Pat) was born October 15, 1931, the daughter of the late George (Ted) and Pearl Green. Pat married Donald James on October 23, 1949 at the Buckton Methodist Church. Pat worked for the Montgomery Ward’s Catalog Department in Potsdam, was an AVON representative and was later employed by the American Greeting Card Company until she retired in 2006.

Pat was a member of the Methodist Church in Hannawa Falls, where she was very active in church suppers, bake sales and taught Sunday School. Pat also sang in the choir in the Methodist Church in Colton.

Pat loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren. Pat’s loving and gentle ways will be missed by all who have been blessed with her in their lives. Pat was an angel on earth and is now God’s Angel.
