Mrs. Maureen S. Richardson, age 85 of Parishville, NY passed away on February 5, 2021 at her son’s residence in the town of Parishville while under the care of her family and Hospice and Palliative Care of the St. Lawrence Valley. Arrangements for cremation are with the Garner Funeral Service. There will be a spring burial at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Heuvelton, NY. Maureen is survived by her daughter Sheila Kelley and her fiancée William Sargent; son Perry (Linda) Downing; daughter Richelle (Allen) Tripp; son Lloyd (Christine) Richardson and daughter Sallie Richardson; brother Patrick Perry and his companion Kim Barr; sister Brenda Bergeron; 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband William Richardson; a sister Linda Perry; brother in law Thomas Bergeron and son in law Girard Kelley.
Maureen Sadie Richardson was born on July 8, 1935 in Ogdensburg, NY to the late Ansel Perry and Lena Calnon. She was a 1952 graduate of Heuvelton Central School and a 1953 graduate of the Ogdensburg School of Business. She had a marriage to Richard Downing that ended in divorce. She then was married to William Richardson. He passed in 2008.
Maureen worked at the Ogdensburg Trust Company, Aiello’s Cheese Factory, Heuvelton Whey and then became Postmaster in DePeyster, NY where she remained until her retirement. She was a member of the Amvets in Heuvelton and the BPW (Business Professional Women’s Club).
