Mr. Leo D. Foster, age 74 of West Stockholm, NY passed away at his residence in the town of Stockholm surrounded by his loving family. Services for Leo will be private. He will be buried in the spring at the West Stockholm Cemetery. Arrangements are with the Garner Funeral Service in Potsdam, NY. Condolences for the Foster family can be shared @www.garnerfh.com. Leo is survived by his loving wife Suzanne Foster; son Greg (Susan) Foster; brothers Wayne (Brynn) Foster, Steve (Linda) Foster, Garry (Chrystal) Foster and Kerry (Kathy) Foster; sister Shirley Colbert; grandchildren McKensi, Holland and Lisle Foster and Keeygan, Kelson, Karter and Kameron Peet and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, brothers Ceylon Foster Jr. and Randy Foster and a sisters Sharon Mitchell and Charlene Foster.
Mr. Leo D. Foster was born October 24, 1950 in Utica, NY to the late Ceylon Foster Sr. and Nellie Wilmot. He attended Potsdam Central Schools. On July 11, 1970 at the West Stockholm United Methodist Church he was married to Suzanne Turner with Rev. William Buckley celebrant.
Leo loved his time while working at Pahler Packing. He was there for over 23 years. He then went to work for Clarkson University as a custodian for a few years and then in the grounds crew for over 10 years. Leo also worked at some local farms in the area. He worked at the Cook and Mitchell farms for several years. In his free time he enjoyed hunting and camping and he was very good at teasing and telling his jokes.
