Kelly was born at Massena Memorial Hospital on February 9th, 1961. Kelly loved to travel and found the time to experience life in Minnesota, Washington D.C., and California, before settling back in Norwood, NY. Kelly spent her early years attending the Rome State School for the Deaf. She was a fiercely independent woman and Kelly’s love for education led her to pursue her studies at Gallaudet University, a chartered university for the deaf and hard of hearing located in Washington D.C. Most recently, Kelly continued her educational endeavors at SUNY Potsdam, where she received her second bachelor’s degree in communications earlier this year. Kelly devoted much of her time to her loving family and friends. She was deeply spiritual and a devout member of her faith. Kelly's other notable passions include traveling, learning, and spending time at the family camp on the St. Lawrence River. Despite facing many challenges in life, Kelly embraced the world around her and lived her life to the fullest. From her employment at the Button Factory in Minnesota, to Washington D.C, and back to New York, Kelly shed light on everyone around her. She will be remembered for her bright smile, fortitude, and enormously caring nature.
She is survived by her father and her mother, Jack and Gloria Haley of Norwood, NY; her two brothers, Michael Haley of Brewerton, NY, and Daniel Haley of Shelburne, VT; and her two nephews, Patrick and John Haley of Shelburne, VT.
