Jenny was a graduate of Potsdam High School (Class of 1978) and later got her Associates degree at SUNY Canton. She spent much of her life serving others. As a nurse at CPH for many years, Jenny provided compassionate care to her patients, and later, as a community health educator at Seaway Valley Prevention Council, she continued her mission of helping others. She retired in 2019, having made a lasting impact on her community.
Jenny was the loving daughter of Sheila (Shatraw) and Terry Pitcher, and was predeceased by both, in 2020 and 1998, respectively.
Jenny married Philip Pryce on October 9, 1982, and they went on to have two children. They later divorced, but remained friendly until her death.
She is survived by her daughter Amanda (Pryce) LaCourse and husband Brian, son Jordan Pryce, and granddaughter Ivy LaCourse.
She is also survived by her brother Terry Pitcher and partner Jessica Olmstead, and her sister Dawn (Pitcher) Burnett and partner John Cross. She was blessed with many nieces and nephews, including nephew Shawn Burnett and wife Heather and family, nephew Jacob Pitcher and wife Kelly and family, niece Samantha Burnett, niece Kallie Regan, niece Brooke Pitcher and family, niece Emma Pitcher, niece Isabella Pitcher, niece Jessica Pitcher-Mills and family, nephew Bryan Pitcher.
Jenny was a true people person; no matter where she went, she always knew someone, even in different countries. She had a gift for making connections and always enjoyed helping others. The light of her life was her cherished granddaughter Ivy, who brought her endless joy (and songs).
There was no greater happiness for Jenny than being with her family, especially during the treasured gatherings that brought everyone together. She will be greatly missed and remembered by all.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jenny’s name to the Potsdam Humane Society, where she adopted her late cat Grace.
Arrangements are with the Garner Funeral Service. Friends may call at the Garner Funeral Service on Wednesday, February 26th from 12-2 and 5-7 pm. Burial will take place in the spring at Bayside Cemetery in Potsdam. Condolences for the Pryce family can be shared @www.garnerfh.com.
