William was born on December 23, 1938, in Akin, Minnesota, to the late Gilman and Marvel Scott.
He proudly served in the United States Army from 1963 to 1967. William worked for Burlington Northern Railroad from January 28, 1957, until his retirement in 2001.
William married Donna may Patricia on June 10, 1966, in Clark County, Washington.
He was preceded in death by his wife Donna May Scott, stepson, Dennis Dornbusch, brother Jim Scott and sister Marilyn Humes.
William is survived by his step daughter Cynthia Nichols, brothers: Dick, Steve, Ralph, and Bradley Scott; and his sisters: Ila Reinstein, Kathy Burnett, and Julie Seaman. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jason and Josh Nichols of Vancouver, Washington, and Dylan Dornbusch and Demi Hoelscher of Houston, Texas; and his great-grandchildren, Emili, Joseph, Ava, and Deeken Nichols of Vancouver, Washington.
William will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
