William was born in Vancouver , WA on October 23, 1947 to his parents, William and Mary Price. As a small child, the family moved to Camas, WA where he attended grade school and high school. After attending some college, he went to work at the Camas Paper Mill but later moved on to the Hospitality field, where he worked for the Red Lion Corporation, Rene’s Fifth Avenue, and Riverside County Club as the Clubhouse Manager. After retiring, he decided to go back to work and was the Mai’tre at Portland Golf Club.
William was a gentle, caring man with a dry sense of humor and much loved by many. He loved sports and was a big Oregon State fan. He was an avid runner and ran the Hood to Coast 4 times. He loved spending our vacations in the Palm Springs area and at our place at the coast. He took great pride in his biggest accomplishment, his three children. They meant the world to him.
He left behind his wife, Lori (two weeks shy of their 40th wedding anniversary), three children, Kody Price, Allyson Terry (John), and Haley Price, three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and his sisters Janet, Nancy, and Pattie.
William had a hard 5-year fight with his disease. The family requests donations to the American Cancer Society. A small, private celebration of life ceremony will be held later this summer.
Billy, you will be greatly missed.
