Beyond his professional endeavors, Wally had a deep passion for basketball. He derived immense joy from both playing and watching the sport, with a particular admiration for his favorite team, the Los Angeles Lakers, and his favorite player, Magic Johnson. Wally also generously shared his love for the game by serving as a basketball referee.
