Wayne was born in Sandston, Virginia on July 19, 1944 to Alfred and Thelma Statler. In his adult life, he worked for many years as an engineer and project manager for the Oregon Department of Transportation before his retirement.
Wayne is survived by his spouse, Ina Thayer; his daughter, Yvette Yvonne Pearce; his son, Asa John Statler; his daughter, Samantha Leigh Statler; his son, Ty Edward Statler; his daughter, Alix Ayn Bohn; and his son, Seth Allen Statler; and many, many other family and friends.
A visitation for Wayne will be held Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at 11:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:30am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 5175 SW 209th Ave, Aloha, OR 97007.
Wayne will be laid to rest on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Sunset Hills Memorial Park, 6801 SW Sunset Hwy, Portland, OR 97225.
