Dr. Warren Schafer

Dr. Schafer was born November 22, 1919 in Grand Junction, Colorado to Raymond and Jennie (Wooley) Schafer. He served his country honorably in the US Navy in the Pacific during World War II.

On May 27, 1967, he married Jennie Nixon in Milwaukie, Oregon.

He was active with the Veterans of Foreign Wars and volunteered time with his church, All Saints Episcopal and Northwest Medical Teams International in Portland, as well. He received his medical degree from University of Oregon.

He was preceded in death by his brother Glenn Schafer in November 2018, and by his son Donald Schafer.

Dr. Schafer is survived by his wife Jennie Schafer of Happy Valley,

a daughter, Barbara Beauchemin; three sons, Robert Schafer of San Diego, CA, Kenneth Schafer of

Vallejo, CA, and Shukhrat Arifdjanov and wife Oydin of Sandy, OR;

and by five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at All Saints Episcopal Church, 4033 SE Woodstock in Portland on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 2:00 pm.

Mr. Schafer will be privately laid to rest beside his son Donald at Willamette National Cemetery.
