Walter Olson, passed away on July 26, 2013. Walter was born in Chicago Illinois on February 3, 1925. Walter graduated from Lane Tech in Chicago Illinois in 1943. After graduation he joined the US Naval Air Force and served as a Navigation Flight Engineer until 1946 when he was honorably discharged.
Walter was an avid Ham Radio Operator and loved gardening, computers, photography and spending time doing family activities. While serving in the armed forces, Walter met his wife, Margaret Callahan while stationed in Alameda California. They were married in 1944 and to this union had three daughters.
Walter is survived by daughters, Chris Gode of Milwaulkie, Oregon, Patricia Zenor of Las Vegas Nevada, and Lillian (Rick) Alli of West Linn, Oregon, grandchildren, Brian Martensen, Daniel Sterrett, Matthew Sterrett and Paige Alli, great-granddaughter, Arianna Martensen.
