She was born April 12, 1950 in Wakefield, NE to the late Kenneth and Viola Baker. She was the youngest of 3 siblings. Her brothers, William Baker and Robert Baker, survive her.
Twila graduated from Wakefield High School in 1968 and moved to Omaha, NE shortly after. She married Tom Iarossi in 1972 and divorced in 1985. In 1976, they moved to Portland, Oregon where she spent the rest of her life.
Twila was very active in her church community. She sang on the choir, worked with Stephen Ministers, and served on the church preschool board, as well as singing on a city wide Lutheran choir. She worked for Regence Blue Cross/Blue Shield for 29 years, where she held many positions. She retired in 2014 just in time to help care for her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Christina Lorntson (Erik) of Sherwood, OR; daughter, Michelle Iarossi of Vancouver, WA; grandchildren Jace and Reid Lorntson of Sherwood, OR; brother, Robert Baker of Evansville, IN; and brother, William Baker of Norfolk, NE.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Viola Baker.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30am on Saturday 7/8 at Twila's home church, Living Savior Lutheran Church, 8740 SW Sagert St., Tualatin, OR 97062. A reception will follow.
A graveside committal service will follow at 2:00pm on Saturday 7/8 at Sunset Hills Memorial Park, 6801 SW Sunset Hwy, Portland, OR 97225 in the Garden of Blessed Hope.
