Tuoi Minh Nguyen

Tuoi was born on May 2, 1962 in Saigon, Vietnam and immigrated to the United States in 1981 after escaping Vietnam after the war. Tuoi was happiest when he was with his family and friends and made it a priority to stay connected to loved ones near and far by texting or calling when he was thinking about them, getting drinks at happy hour, or weekly family dinners with his children.

Tuoi had a lifelong hobby of gardening and tending to his houseplants, and more recently, he discovered a new passion of traveling. He and his wife visited France, Italy, Switzerland, Dubai, and the Maldives this year. He also loved his regular dates with his grandson, Max, where they would go to lunch, shop at Target, go for walks, and build Legos together.

Tuoi is survived by his wife of 37 years, Diep, his four children, Phung Hieu, Khiem, Kiet, and Khuyen, their partners, Huy, Megan, and Ana, and his grandson, Maxwell.

A visitation for Tuoi will be held Friday, December 2, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Skyline Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4101 NW Skyline Blvd., Portland, OR 97229. A funeral service will occur after, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. A reception with lunch will follow.
