Theodore "Ted" John Andrews

Ted Andrews was born to Theodore and Charlotte Andrews in Chicago, Illinois and moved to the Beaverton area as a child. A graduate of Beaverton High, Ted was an Eagle Scout and a member of The Order of the Arrow. As a Senior Scout he had the opportunity to hike the Pacific Crest Trail from Canada to Mexico. Ted served in the U.S. Air Force from 1960- 1963, receiving a Purple Heart and the Bronze Star for his service. The remainder of Ted’s career was spent as a quality control auditor.

Ted married Barbara J. Taylor of Beaverton on August 31, 1968. He was very involved with his family. Ted spent his time coaching baseball, as a Boy Scout leader and enjoyed being outdoors fishing and hunting with his sons and grandsons. Ted was a member of New Life Foursquare Church in Canby since 1991.

Ted is survived by his wife of 44 years, Barbara; his children Tim (Sharon) Andrews, Beth (Carey) Thompson, Brian (Brandy) Andrews; his grandchildren Sara (Charles), Samantha, Alex, Courtney, Ethan, Adam, Daniel, Patrick, Jacob; his great-grandchildren Cody, Gabriel, Mia.

Private interment will be on Friday, February 1, 2013 at Skyline Memorial Gardens in Portland. A memorial service is to be held on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 11:00am at the New Life Foursquare Church in Canby.
