Teresa R Mckenzie

A native Oregonian, Teresa graduated high school from St. Mary's Academy. Teresa was an active member of the Sandy community; serving as secretary for Toastmasters, St. Michael Catholic Church and the local senior center. Volunteering was her passion from an early age. She volunteered with Vista/Peace Corp. 1964-1965 and later the Oregon Zoo.

Teresa was the 8th of 9 siblings from her parents Edward and Hazel; Edward Jr. “Sonny” (who preceded her in death), Frances Foumal, John Driscoll, Margaret “Peggy” Birkenbuel, Elizabeth “Betty” Egner, Michael Dirscoll, Angela Cheeseman, and Walter Driscoll. Teresa is survived by her five children; daughters, Zita Bitz (Steve Miller), Louisa Burrus (Scott) and Leslie McGeehan (Russell); sons, Gordon McKenzie and Chris McKenzie (Tanya); and granddaughters, Annie, Maiya and Kensington. Aunt o many Nieces and Nephews, great nieces & nephews, and great greats as well.

There will be a memorial service and celebration of life at 10 am, Saturday, August 11, 2018 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Tigard, if you would like to join us. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her memorial fund at the service or the Portland Rescue Mission.
