Susie Mack

who preceded her in death. As a young Susie attended Egypt school and Elmo Baptist

Church in Gilliam. In Shreveport she worked for a time at the Morris Dickson drug store. In 1946-47 she moved to Vanport, Oregon with the help of Mr. John Williams. While in Vanport John Williams and Susie Lewis escaped the 1948 Vanport flood . She met and married John Mack in 1949 who preceded her in death.

She loved to talk to relatives " back home ", and tell her children about picking cotton, milking cows,

and when a snake came up and bit the toe off of Mae as a child. As a teenager

she would tell me to," go up to the store and get me a dog book", and I'd ride my bike up to the

store and buy one.

She leaves to mourn; her sister Vasola Smith, children Myra Beard, Susan Mack (Glenn),

Jerry Mack, Johnny Mack, and Michaell Mack, several grandchildren, relatives, and many friends.

Sisters; Johnnie Mae, Pearl, Gladys, Ellen, Nina Mae , and brothers Paul Lewis, David Lewis (Fat), and Jim

Williams preceded her in passing.

A funeral service for Susie will be held Saturday, July 2, 2022 from 1:00 PM at Zeller Chapel Of The Roses FH, 2107 NE BROADWAY ST, PORTLAND, OR 97232.
