Born as Sheila Ann Bond in Marin County, CA, she was the youngest daughter of Herschel and Mary Bond. Sheila attended George Washington High School and San Francisco Junior College. Shortly after college she moved to Sacramento to start her job working for the government. That is where Sheila met her future husband, Marvin Voss.
They were married in 1950 and spent 70 happy years together. Soon after in 1952, their son Robert (Bob) was born and in 1956 their daughter, Karen was born.
In 1963, Marv’s job transfer moved the family to Beaverton, OR. There Sheila volunteered in many activities including; Homeroom parent, Boy Scouts, Camp Fire Girls and for Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a devoted church member, lately of Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church.
Sheila was an active member in Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for most of her life. She enjoyed knitting and painting as her main hobbies. She reveled in the time spent with her two granddaughters, Kendra and Karly. After Marv retired, they cruised to many countries and spent numerous weeks on the Hawaiian Islands. Sheila was gentle and kind-hearted, generous, and friendly with a welcoming smile to everyone she met.
Sheila is survived by her son, Bob Voss and wife, Tonya Drayden; daughter, Karen Allen and husband, Tom Allen; and Karen’s daughters, Kendra Allen and Karly Allen. Sheila is preceded in death by her husband Marvin Voss, her sister Patricia Giordano, and her brothers James and David Bond.
A private family graveside service was held at Sunset Hills Memorial Park in the Garden of Roses.
