Shane-o, Crazy Shane, Shane the Mad, Hurricane Shane... However you knew him he made a one-of-a-kind lasting impression. He was born on the island of Guam and moved to Milwaukie, Oregon in 1977. He was a traveling man from an early age. He spent three years in the United States Marine Corps, in North Carolina, Okinawa and California. He traveled all over the United States for two years with the Sterling and Reed Brothers Circus. He visited several states with a traveling carnival. He lived at various times in several states including Ohio, Pennsylvania, Colorado, Iowa, and Texas. He lived back on Guam for seven years. Recently he lived in South Dakota, but had come back to Oregon for his brother's memorial service where he passed away one month later.
Shane was a talented writer, a marksmanship instructor, truck driver and welder. He lived his life on his own terms with very little regard for material possessions. His many friends say he would gladly give you the shirt off his back.
He left behind a broken-hearted mother and brother, a son he loved but could have not contact with, and a multitude of friends. His memorial service will be held Sunday, November 18th at 4 pm at Lincoln Memorial Park. May his troubled soul find peace.
