Sally Schreve Marta

Sally was born in Portland, Oregon on January 23, 1933 to Velma and Ira Taylor where she graduated from Roosevelt High School.

She married Fred C. Conrad in 1951, had five daughters, and divorced after 24 years.

In 1975, Sally married Leo P. Bible, who died in May 2000. She gained a stepson, Scott L. Bible. On Valentine’s Day 2015, Sally married Francis Marta. When she married Francis, he had 2 sons and 6 daughters, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

As her family grew up, Sally was active in girl scouts with her daughters as well as her church. In 1998, she joined the Chaplain’s Volunteer group at Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center, serving for 20 years. She was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Lake Oswego, where she served as Wedding Coordinator and Choir Member for many years. In 2002, she joined St. Cyril Catholic Church in Wilsonville and served as a Eucharistic Minister, Pastoral Outreach Ministries Chairman, and on the Church Council.

She enjoyed being an on-call legal secretary for 10 years to Arnold Southwell. She was Treasurer for the Portland Retired Police and Widow’s Association for 20 years, President of the State OAHA (Oregon Association of Hospital Auxiliaries), and President of Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center Auxiliary.

She always enjoyed her family, friends, sewing, baking, bridge, traveling, and chocolate.

She is survived by her daughters: Makyla Waters, Sandra L. Lawrence, Kimberly S. Conrad, Diane M. Turner, Leslie A. Conrad, and son Scott Bible, along with 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren (soon to be 5).

A Memorial Service for Sally will be held on October 14, 2024 at 10:30am at St. Cyril Catholic Church, 9210 SW 5th St, Wilsonville, OR 97070.
