Rose Mary Cramer passed away on June 18, 2016 in Portland, Oregon. Rose Mary was born to Jacob and Bertha Pulskamp in Hillsboro, North Dakota on August 20, 1919. After graduating high school in 1937, Rose Mary attended Mayville Teacher’s College where she earned a Teacher’s Certificate.
Rose Mary taught school for a couple of years. She came to Portland and while visiting friends, she was introduced to Walter Cramer. They dated through the summer and in December of 1943, they were married in North Dakota and they moved back to Portland and began their family.
Rose Mary was a member of St. Clare’s Parish for over 70 years and was very devoted to her faith and prayed the rosary daily. When she found time, outside of taking care of her family, she was a member of the Altar Society, Senior Social Club, Oasis Walkers and Loaves and Fishes. Rose Mary volunteered to take care of two neighborhood bus stops at Barbur and Capitol Highway regularly to make sure they were clean and ready for the communters. She was a loving person, a hard worker and determined. She was always there for her family in times of crisis and joy.
Rose Mary was preceded in death by her husband Walt, son Baby John, brother Al Pulskamp and sisters, Sister Mary Leo Pulskamp and Cecelia Schreiner. She is survived and will be missed by children, Carolyn (Dave) Taylor of Klamath Falls, Oregon, Mike (Jan) Cramer of Gladstone, Oregon, Steve (Adella) Cramer of Canby, Oregon, and Terry (Amy Posmantur) Cramer of Vicenza, Italy, grandchildren Davena Cedarleaf (James Phillips), Sharyl (Curt) Rardin, Vickie (John Schillo) Taylor, Scott Cramer, Jake (Tracy) Cramer, Eryn (Justin) Whitaker, great-grandchildren, Corey Taylor-Cedarleaf, Casey Cedarleaf, Sarah Harris, Rylan Whitaker, and siblings, Sister Eloise Pulskamp of Valley City, North Dakota, Rita Braun of Rosholt, South Dakota, Joe Pulskamp of Cummings, North Dakota, Bertha Panther of West Point, Iowa, Sister Mary Jane Pulskamp of Fargo, North Dakota and Leo (Roberta) Pulskamp of Grand Rapids, Minnesota
