Ingram, CDR. Ronald Frank 81 Aug. 01, 1935 Aug. 19, 2016 CDR. Ronald Frank Ingram 81 Died on Friday August 19th 2016 Mr. Ingram is survived by his loving family, wife Gladys Ingram; sister Peggy Dailey and husband Walter; son Michael Santos and his wife Martha; daughter Lindsay Santos; son Charles Ingram and his wife Quynh; and grandson David Ingram. Mr. Ingram was raised in Denison, Texas where he graduated as valedictorian of Saint Xavier's High School. Mr. Ingram attended the United States Naval Academy, graduating in 1958. During his 21 years of active duty, Mr. Ingram commanded two guided missile destroyers, the USS RICHARD E. BYRD DDG-23 and the USS Joseph Strauss DDG-16 . Mr. Ingram retired from active duty as a Commander in July of 1979. He then went on to become a vice president with John J. McMullen Associates, a naval architecture firm, retiring in 2000.
