At 7 years old, the family moved to Albany, California where he attended grade school and later Oakland, California where he graduated from Castlemont High School. By the age of 18, he moved to Portland, Oregon where he became a counselor at Timber Lake Job Corp and a Forester on February 9, 1967.
Ron later met and married his wife, Nella Scott Dickson, on August 20, 1970.
Mr. Dickson will be most remembered for his love of his family and his devotion as a member of Maranatha Church of God.
He is preceded in death by his wife, parents, brothers, and sisters.
Left to cherish his memory are 9 nephews, Ron Davis, Gene Denard, Anthony Denard, Michael Denard, Donnell Buckley, Darrell Buckley, and Jermaine Buckley; niece, Chermaine Buckley; great niece, Nikisha Powell; brother-in-law, Leroy Denard; and a host of great nieces and great nephews, extended family and friends.
