He was born Roland Allen Bozich on November 12, 1928 at home in Beaverton Oregon, To Anton and Teresa (McKay) Bozich where he resided until his recent passing.
He attended Merle Davie’s School thru the 8th grade, then he left school to start working to help out the family. He did many things during his working career everything from making novelty woodpecker tooth pick holders to working at a saw mill and logging for several years, until he found his way to the Damerow Ford family in the mid 1950’s where he worked for 45 plus years.
Roland and Arleen (Severtson) met by chance on a bus ride and a year and a half later were married on June 23, 1950, in Portland, Oregon. Roland and Arleen Bozich Started their lives together and raised a family of their own in his original family home sharing 65 years together until Arleen’s passing just 6 months ago.
He loved traveling the “Great Northwest” with his family and friends. Camping, Hunting, Fishing and enjoying the outdoors. Above all he loved sharing all of his wonderful memories with hours of great “Story Telling.”
Roland was preceded in death by wife Arleen; son Steve; parents Anton and Teresa; brothers Antone (Sonny) and John; sisters Catherine, Mary, and Lillian.
He is survived by daughters Debbie and Peggy; sons Gary, Doug, and Ben; 12 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren
A memorial service and Celebration of Roland’s will life be held on November 7, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Skyline Memorial Gardens, 410 NW Skyline Boulevard, Portland Oregon, 97229
