I'm a former Bluejacket who last saw her in 2010. I offer my condolences  to her family.

i am a former classmate of Rita from Harvard. She would take classes over at the graduate school of design (city planning). I live in Fairfax Va, but I am from NYC.  When they were dating, she would invite me to go to the games with her. This was 1974-76. I lost touch with her and I am so sadden to hear she passed away. May she RIP

Rita was a very dear friend in grade school.  We lost contact while in high school. We reconnected in 2011.  It was as if we had been together all that time. I miss her laugh and her very much.  She will always hold a special place in my heart

I was reading the Wheaton Quarterly this morning when I  learned of Rita's passing. I was shocked and so saddened by the news. Rita was always so full of life, bubbly even in the middle of the night when I'd run into her while studying in the basement of our dorm. I last saw her at Harvard where we would often see  each other on campus. She was always warm and excited about life - truly a pleasure to have known.

I was overcome with shock and grief when I read of Rita's passing today. I met her when she was a visiting student at Fordham Law School. Rita was the epitome of kindness.  May God grant her eternal rest.

I was stunned and overwhelmed with sadness today when I read of Rita's death. It brought tears to my eyes. We spoke not long ago. She was such a beautiful woman, always  loving and caring.  I have many wonderful memories of our times together. I will remember her smile, her sparkling eyes and her laugh. She will always have a special place in my heart.

My thoughts, prayers, and condolences go out to Rita's family. I hope that you all can find comfort through prayers and memories. Maurice, David, and Kristin your mother was a beautiful woman with a warm heart; she will truly be missed. I am honored to say that Rita was my friend; we met in January 1984 in Phoenix, AZand remain friends for thirty two years. I'm sorry that I could not be there today to honor Rita, but I have her in my heartwhere she will forever stay. Rita is gone, but the memories she left behind will forever be with us.

Rita and I met at Lexington School in St. Louis MO. We spent the summer of our freshman year at Exeter Academy where we explored life away from home for the first time. Rita was a great friend with a sweet spirit. She will be missed but we shall meet again.

I remember Rita as a vivacious and caring person.  We were classmates when she attended Wheaton College. Please accept my condolences and my prayers.

So sorry to hear of Rita's passing. She put Affirmative Action Program of the bar on the map by inviting Julian Bond to be the guest speaker at the annual meeting. Very inspiring. My condolences to her children, Maurice, David and Kristen.

I worked with Rita on the Affirmative Action Committee when she was at the Oregon State Bar.  I have fond memories of Rita's warmth and energy as she worked with  lawyers and law students, and, when I saw her last year, she had that same spark.

Please accept my condolences on Rita's passing.

Rita was a dear friend to many and will be missed by many.  My friendship with Rita began when we entered Lewis & Clark Law School as 1st year students.  We have stayed in touch over the years and I was fortunate enough to be able to talk about old times with her at a retirement event a few months ago.  I will remember Rita for the many students she helped to start and finish their legal careers and as a dear friend.
