Ray was preceded in death by their son, Raymond Vern Tracy in 1991. He was also preceded in death by his father John Tracy, his brother Jim Tracy and his mom, Elizabeth Berg of Idaho.
Ray grew up on a farm in Idaho. He served in the United States Army from 1959 to 1962. Ray married Mary shortly thereafter, and in 1967 they made their choice to serve God. After they had three children, Ray earned his Associates degree in nursing from Boise State, obtained his Family Nurse Practitioner credentials in Arkansas, ran various rural health clinics in Idaho and Oregon, and finished his nursing career working in occupational health in the oil industry in Bakersfield, California. His love and passion for healthcare led his 2 daughters, and 4 grandchildren to follow in his footsteps. Ray was committed to a life of learning, teaching, and helping others.
Ray loved being a Papa, and is remembered best by his grandchildren for his humor, story telling, playful spirit and his “Papa Ray Scent” of cologne and a touch of hairspray.
