Survivors include his daughters Lynn and Lori; son Charlie; and granddaughter Ashley;
brothers Carl, Mark, and Curt; and sisters Tina, Teresa, Camie, Lisa and Ydene; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ralph is preceded in death by is daughter Chrissy; sister Cheryl; and parents Robert Charles and Patricia Beatrice.
The family moved from Alma, Michigan to Portland, OR in 1964. He graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1968 and was a member of the marching band, and attended Portland Community College. He followed in hi father's footsteps, he was a machinist by trade, a very hard worker and truly loved his chosen profession.
He loved baseball, trains, the outdoors, fishing, hunting, going to the beach, camping, and his children. He loved making people laugh, he was quite a character.
Dad, you will be forever missed but will always be with us! You are finally as free as a bird, now spread you wings and soar high above the heavens, you are in God's hands now. We love you forever!! You will be GREATLY missed but NEVER forgotten!!!
A graveside and committal service will take place at Skyline Memorial Gardens, 4101 NW Skyline Blvd., Portland, Oregon, on Monday, September 12, 2016, at 11am. A memorial service will follow at 12:30pm at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 3700 SE 79th Ave, Portland, OR 97206.
