In 2013, Phillip was in my "stick" - the group of Young Marines I was responsible for during our week in Southern California...at the end of the day, we headed back to ride Indiana Jones again as our last ride.  Apparently,  it wasn't meant to be as it broke down again!!  This group of guys made the best of it anyway.

In 2013, Phillip was in my "stick" - the group of Young Marines I was responsible for during our week in Southern California...that day, we went to Disneyland.  They really wanted to ride the Indiana Jones ride, so off we went...Phillip took the driver's seat.  The ride broke down, and we had to walk out (quite a ways!) but swore we'd come back and try again later.

Back in 2012, Phillip volunteerd to be part of a Young Marine color guard (it may have been his first one!) In La Center, WA. I remember he was the tallest one there that day. 😀

In December, 2016, he was promoted to the rank of Young Marine Corporal (Cpl) . This promotion ceremony was done at the annual leadership retreat the unit holds for YM Cpls and above, so he could participate, followed by a ceremonial promotion ceremony a few weeks later that his friends and family could attend.

You were my little Phillerp, my dears little frog from the day I finally go to hold you on my chest with all the the wires and other line on you.   I love you and you'll always be my beautiful frog!

A beautiful couple to remember who he loved. He has his favorite  things with him. His duck for his jeep. His motorcycle  in Legos..2 of his favs.  And he has his favorite color!

I remember the time period my brother and I met Philip in our first and second year of Young Marines. Through time we bonded with him, stepped into a close friendship with him, and in my later years of high school, something that felt like a brotherhood. The Taylor’s entered our lives and it felt like Philip had become a brother to us. Though distance was in place, we were always a text or phone call away from making plans and memories together. Like both times we were invited to Philip’s play for theater, and the very late night we spent up outside with him and his friends. We shared the gospel of Jesus with his friends and we believe a seed was planted in his friends lives. Or another time when we went to the beach with both our moms and we played with the sport kite for what seemed to be an hour. We shared laughs together time and time again. He will be missed very much. We love you Philip.

I remember being a young Marine with Philip. He was always a good kid and grew up to be a good guy. I remember when he would come to the gun shows when I started my first company. He was a huge hit. When we took this picture I think he was already down to half his candy. I think back to this day often...  We haven't spoken in a long while but I did enjoy seeing him grow up to be as awesome as he became. God Bless you buddy. One day we will meet again.

I thank God for the time we had with you, Phillip. I was so worried your first week of life when you were so sick and praised God when you started doing better. I am grateful for the 22 years we had with you and the memories we made. I will cherish our time together forever and will always love you and miss you.

We knew Phillip from the Young Marines. It’s been a few years since I have been involved with them. However, Phillip was always my biggest sales guy for the Sees Candy fundraiser. I would always get a phone call from you or your mom asking me to bring you more candy. Phillip you could really sell those candy bars. You will be missed by many! Go Rest High On The Mountain!

It was an honor to have known and worked with Phillip . He was always willing to help and work hard to accomplish a task . He was a solid Young Marine and will be missed . It was a pleasure and privilege to have mentored and taught him . Welcome to heaven young man . Till we meet again .

Uncle Guy, Alex, Nick, Makayla, and I will miss you. Phillip, we hold onto our memories of you and will never forget you. You are loved my many and your memory will live on in all those who cared about you. We lost you too soon and you have left an impact on us all. Love you and miss you!

Your slow shy smile could light up a room, Phillip. I enjoyed getting to know you while you were in the Young Marine program and had you tagged as ‘one to watch’ in your adult life. Every circle you were a part of now must feel your loss deeply.  Until we meet again …

I remember Phillip from the Lewis and Clark Young Marine Program. He and I shared many hours together swapping stories of our lives and future while standing “Firewatch” during Belleau Wood to protect our fellow Young Marines. I would help him practice for his promotion boards because he was so nervous but eager to pass because he wanted to climb the ranks and oversee the squad/platoon. He was a great young man to be around because of his motivation to better himself and others around him. He was a man who understood the meaning of leadership and teamwork. We may not have talked often, but I will miss him and his weekly updates I would see on his Facebook page. I know I will see you again Phillip, and perhaps we can stand Firewatch at the Pearly Gates and swap stories of our past together like we once did so many years ago. You will be missed brother.

Our memories of you are when you were younger. Sleep overs, running up and down the halls and us being thankful our neighbors were cool since you and Adam wanted to get into wrestling matches in the middle of the night :) Hot summer days swimming at the pool, trying to run through the house and Paul yelling "take off your shoes!"
You were a great friend to our boys when we were new to the area and always fun to be around. We watched you grow up through pictures from your mom and her telling us all about what you were up to. 
You will be missed greatly, but the great memories live on. We love you, until we see you again!

Philly, my man you were my brother. We grew up together I haven't been taking this easy. It's very difficult. However, the times we spent and the amazing memories we created is what helps me through everything. We made so many different friends together and we would always be skateboarding, hiking around or just straight up getting into a mess but we were young it was all in fun! I will never forget those times. As we got older, life got harder we had to get distant but that never stopped us from messing it up time to time, it was always a fun time when we would get together no matter where we were or who was there. You'd always try and show out and hurt yourself and that was the funniest thing, always had me laughing bro.  Your family always took me in as one of their own, I adore them always. We all share beautiful times together. I will forever hold these memories and I am blessed to have met you and I am very happy I did.

Some lady's house Philip was helping out for some money and dragged us along, ended up getting paid like $20 bucks this day we were young.  I believe this was sometime in 2016-2017.

This day we were all very stressed from school, but we're planning a fun filled day of activities and from what I remember, this was the day Philip crashed my bike. And was very upset about it, I told him get back up and do it again hahah

Gosh…this is heartbreaking. I met Phillip when he was younger and involved in the Young Marines program. Always a sweet one, willing to help wherever he could. I am so shocked and saddened to hear of his passing. Prayers for his family. Fly high Phillip.

You will forever be remembered and cherished for the loving, caring and thoughtful person you were. You Lit up every room, just being you. The first time we hung out, we went up to Mount Hood with all of the boys and I was the only girl there but you always included me. You got pictures of all of us in our cars racing down the highway, I’ll never forget it.  In the little time that I knew you, I found a kind soul.
