Mr. Philip Fred Butler, age 88, of Aloha, Oregon passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, November 17, 2018. Philip was born on November 25, 1929, in Cornelius, Oregon. Phil grew up in Cornelius and Middleton, graduating from Sherwood High School. After high school Phil worked at the bus depot in downtown Portland, handling baggage and announcing bus departures. He then joined the Army and went off to boot camp in Fort Lewis, unfortunately, he injured his ankle and his military career was shorter than he planned.
Moving back to the Portland area he went to work for View Master Corporation, where he worked for 26 years. He then later worked for Leopold and Stevens Corporation as Production Control where he finally retired in 1995.
Philip is survived by his wife of 65 years, Marian, sons; Mike (Dorothy), Matt (Christy): daughters Linda (Craig) and Lorri Butler. Five beautiful grandchildren; Ric, Dani, Kyle, Brandon, Brian, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of choice or St. Judes Children's Research Hospital at 501 St. Judes Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
