Peter "Pete" Alan Ryback

He attended Lents Grade School, Grant HS, then Seattle Pacific University before returning to Portland for his career, marriage, parenting, grandparenting, and play! His thing was golf!

In recent years, physical and cognitive issues took hold. Peter died at age 78.

Survivors: wife Fran Will Ryback; son Gregg "Woody" and wife Stacy Ryback; daughter Leah and husband Christopher Fuhrmeister; grandchildren in order of birth: Gemma and Wyatt Fuhrmeister; Isla Ryback.

In lieu of flowers family suggests contributions be made "In memory of Peter Ryback" to either the SMART Reading Program or The Oregon Food Bank. Peter believed learning through whatever means including reading was good for all, so enhancing child reading skills and pleasure through a supportive program would please him. He also loved food, any food, and wanted no one to go hungry, so providing resources to people struggling to put food on the table would also please him. One can utilize websites or mail to:
