Patricia Ann (Pfeifer) Moyer, 77, passed away peacefully on Aug. 11, 2013, after a brave battle with breast cancer. Pat was born on March 24, 1936 in Portland to Mary and Mathew Pfeifer. She grew up in NE Portland with sisters, Rosemarie and Terry. Pat attended Holy Redeemer Catholic Grade School and graduated from St. Mary’s Academy. Pat married Donald T. Moyer in 1958 and they shared 53 wonderful years of marriage until his passing on May 17, 2012. Don and Pat had three children and spent most of their life on three acres on Mt. Scott. Pat and Don loved to travel with close friends and relatives; Mexico, Canada and Reno were some of their favorite places. Pat worked at Zekkerbach Paper for 27 years and remained close to many, organizing the retiree’s annual gatherings. Pat met her best friends at Holy Redeemer and they were referred to as the “Fab Five.” The Fab Five spent 72 years together sharing a lifetime of laughter and love. Pat was especially proud of her six granddaughters and two great-granddaughters and had a unique relationship with each of them. Her granddaughters adored their grandma and spent many hours’ playing cards and sharing stories. Pat was a loving wife and mother, a wonderful cook, a loyal friend and a conversationalist who always kept your interest. She was well loved and will be remembered for her enthusiasm for life, magnetic smile, and the love of cards. Pat is survived by her sons, Jeff (Barb) and Greg; daughter, Kim Sneath (John); six granddaughters, Chelsea, Melisa, Karli, Ashley, Malory, Allie; two great-granddaughters, Madelyn and Audrey; sister, Rosemarie; and her fab five, Virginia, Ellen, Sharon and Janet. We love you mom and thanks for always being there!
