Nina was born June 19, 1957 in Ann Arbor, Michigan to Jerry and Nancy Leith. She moved to the Bay Area as a small child, where she grew up and attended Terra Linda High School. She was well loved by her peers and formed many lifelong friendships.
Nina possessed an ambition and work ethic like no other, and continued to work hard and provide for her family throughout her entire life. She became a young mother to Angi at 19, and considered motherhood to be the most important job she would ever have. After marriage and 2 more children, Talya and Briana, she relocated to Portland, Oregon where she spent the next 22 years raising her beautiful daughters, excelling in her career, decorating a stunning home, nurturing many wonderful friendships, and enjoying a glass of wine in her lovely garden.
Nina is known for her amazing creativity, her quick wit, her positive outlook, her strength and determination, her giving nature, her gorgeous smile, her remarkable fashion sense, and her ability to make anyone feel like they were her best friend. She was always happiest in her garden, at the beach, and in the company of those she loved. She left her sparkle wherever she went, and those who knew her won't ever forget the impact she made on them.
Nina passed peacefully in her home on February 17, 2018 surrounded by her family.
She is survived by her mother, Nancy; her brother, Campbell; her sister, Jennifer; her daughters, Angi, Talya, and Briana; and her grandson, Frankie.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you treat yourself to a pedicure. She would have wanted that.
