McKenzie was a bright, intelligent girl. Her infectious laugh, quick wit and sense of humor are just a few of the qualities that people always associate with her personality. She deeply loved her family and friends, and in turn, was loved by those whose lives she touched. She had a tender heart, and a special compassion for the elderly and those in need.
McKenzie was a lover of all animals, dogs and horses being among her favorites. She was an avid reader and was known to sit down and read a book cover to cover in one sitting. A sports enthusiast, McKenzie played various sports all through her youth including soccer, basketball, softball, roller hockey, and lacrosse. In her junior year of high school, she discovered her favorite sport as a member of the Lady Centaurs rugby team. She gave her all on the field and loved the competitiveness of the sport.
Priceless memories and the endless love we have for our beautiful girl will carry us through until we meet again.
McKenzie is survived by her parents, Les & Marge Jacobson, sisters Mikayla and Desiree Jacobson, grandparents Gene & Joyce Jacobson and many wonderful aunts, uncles and cousins.
Remembrances may be made in McKenzie’s honor to Oregon Humane Society or National Alliance for the Mentally Ill, Oregon (NAMI).
