Marla Elizabeth Moore, passed away peacefully Aug. 9, 2018, in Portland. She had just celebrated her 92nd birthday with her beloved children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Marla was born Aug. 2,1926 in Roseburg, the daughter of Arthur Ray Knauss and Stella (Krohn) Knauss. Marla graduated from Washington High School class of 1944, in Portland. She went on to attend University of Washington, where she met her husband. She was united in marriage to Daniel "Dinty" James Moore Aug. 6, 1946 in Portland. He preceded her in death, June 7, 1998. They were married for 51 happy years.
Marla is survived by her sons, Dr. Daniel R. Moore, Brian J. Moore, Thomas C. Moore; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at at 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 1, 2018, at Finley Sunset Hills Mortuary, 6801 S.W. Sunset Hwy.
